Why "Only 2 Left" Works On You Every Time

Same cookies. People wanted them MORE when only 2 were left.

1975. Two jars. Same cookies. One jar has ten, one has two. People rated the cookies from the jar with two as more desirable.

And when a jar dropped from ten to two right in front of them, they wanted them even more.

"Only 3 left." "Offer ends at midnight." "Doors close Friday."

Ask yourself: would I want this if there were a hundred of them? If the answer is no, you don't want the thing. You want the feeling of almost losing it.

What's the last thing you bought because it was "almost gone"? Confess below.
